Excellent topic choice; I myself tend to be easily swept away by the sturdy yet elegant letterforms that make up a good slab serif. I toyed around with the lovely Museo Slab a bit at http://myyearinlists.com.
@Colin Although it seems like you see it everywhere these days, I can’t help but love Archer as well.
Miles, there’s a cool little website called Google where you can search for anything (that’s right, anything you want) and it usually gets good results. Give it a whirl.
Oh I didn’t know that this was a list of 5 slabs you own. I guess that makes sense since you have these uniform specimens here (which are not only pretty, but fun to read.) Now that I am reading this again, Stag is really singing to me.
Horribly lovely, of course. I am ashamed to say that I found Archer quite easily on a dodgy illegal website or two, but well done for respecting copyright.
Re Miles Dean’s comment, sometimes affiliate link options exist sometimes, which could help you to feed your table and stuff, but it’s no big deal.
I forgot how much I love Offician Serif till this post. Sentinel is my current love now. Has the same feel as Clarendon but with a bit more something something.

I rather like Sentinel as well, if nothing else for its range of weights. I do, however, prefer the smoother bracketing of good old Clarendon.
This is quite possibly the most awesome blog I’ve ever seen… great job! I’ve spent many (should’ve been working) hours over the last couple weeks browsing through your posts. Are you using any particular CMS to allow for comments? As lame as it sounds, I would love to mimic your concept of a new design per blog post, but the only thing I’m familiar with for leaving comments is Wordpress, and that wouldn’t be friendly at all for a re-design per post. Thanks for the endless entertainment provided by your awesomest of awesome journal!

Slab serifs are among my favorite fonts. I had a competition recently to determine what font I HAD to include in the header of my latest blogazine article, and Chunk 5 won. I was so glad the jokester who submitted Lucida Handwriting didn’t get there first.
Also, to Kevin - Wordpress works just fine for doing a per post design. I’ve used it with great success on mine.

Top 5 slab serifs
Love this! I’d add Alexandria FLF, but Museo Slab is beautiful. Great list!

Archer and Unit Slab would have to be in my top 5.

I’d say: Ziggurat, Archer, Clarendon, Lubalin Graph, and Chaparral Pro, no — Neutraface Slab! Definitely Neutraface Slab.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. Archer probably would have come close, but I don’t own it and it’s too expensive to buy just for kicks.
Lubalin Graph came close also, and Neutraface Slab is very nice indeed! Nice heads up Travis.
